My trip to Singapore

On the 25th January, we went to Singapore by Singapore Airlines from Hong Kong International Airport. After we arrived in Singapore, we went to Sleepy Sam’s and Sultan Mosque aka Masjid Sultan. These places were wonderful. Next, we went to Suntec City to walk around the fountain in the middle of the modern building, three times. It was because someone said it could help you to earn more money.

Then, we went to see the lovely Merilion and took photos of it in Merilion Park. The Merilion is the focal point of Singapore. Merilion’s head means Singapore is a lion city and the fish tail means Singapore is a fishing village.

Finally, we had curry chicken for dinner and then went back to the hotel.

The next day, we went to the Punggol Primary School and took part in a Science lesson and an English lesson with the Singapore students. In the lessons, we discovered the students study very hard and they are so friendly. They surprised us greatly!

In the afternoon, we went to the Singapore Air Force. There was a lot of information about the air force. Then, we went to Sentosa, which is a big island. We played on the Luge and all of us felt very excited. Next, we had dinner at Sentosa. After dinner, we watched a show, Song of the Sea. It was about a man who found his love, Princess. In the show, there were fountains and fireworks. It was amazing!

On the third day, we went to the botanical gardens where there were many kinds of plants, such as roses, banyans and orchids. They were so special. Then, we went to the National Museum of Singapore. There was a lot of information about Singapore’s history.

Next, we went to a special farm. How special? They didn’t use mud to plant the plants. They used air to plant them. It also means Singapore’s government is good at saving space.

And then, we went to the Singapore Discovery Centre. It is like the Hong Kong Science Museum. Then we went to the Army Museum by Safti bus. At last, we had dinner in the Lau Pa Sau Market. There were many Malaysian and Singaporean foods there. The foods were so spicy but they didn’t taste that bad to eat!

On the last day, we went to Newater Centre where we were introduced to how Singapore changes their dirty water into clean water. Why does Singapore need Newater? It is because Malaysia wouldn’t sell the water to Singapore anymore after 2010, so Newater is very important to Singapore. Then, we went to the Singapore City Gallery. There were some models of Singapore as well as lots of information. And then, we had our last meal in Singapore. It was Hainanese chicken rice and it was so delicious!

Next, we went to Chinatown where there were many old shops. Some were selling foodstuffs while others were selling mediations. Why is Chinatown named "Chinatown"? It was because a long time ago, there was no water, so people drove some cars with cows to and got many buckets of water.

After that, we went to Marina Barrage and learnt about how Singapore saves water. Finally, we went to the airport and back to Hong Kong by plane.
