My trip to Singapore

One week ago, we had a trip to Singapore. We were tired during this trip because of the tight schedule. However, we still felt very happy.

On the first day, we visited many places. First, we visited Malay Heritage Centre. It was a palace where the Emperor of Singapore lived a long time ago. It was very big and beautiful. It combined some of Malaysia’s culture in its design. Then, we went to the Suntec City. There was a water fountain called "The Fountain of Wealth". If you encircled the fountain 3 times, you may be richer. I thought it wasn’t really true! It is because I believe that we must work hard before we can get rich.

The last destination on the first day was the Merlion Park, which is the most famous place in Singapore. There were two Merlions. One was bigger, and the other one was smaller. The Merlions were so beautiful that I wanted to take it back to Hong Kong!

On the second day, we visited Punggol Primary School. In Punggol Primary School, we met a lot of students. All of them were hardworking students. When their teacher asked any questions, they would answer the questions very quickly. I felt very surprised.

After visiting Punggol Primary School, we visited the Republic of Singapore Airforce Museum. There were many battle planes and we watched a radio clip of the Singapore Airforce.

Finally, we went to the island of Sentosa. We played on many kinds of amusement rides and watched the "Song of the Sea" show. It was a show performed beside the beach. This show displayed beautiful fireworks and the actors’ wonderful singing. The show was wonderful.

On the third day, we went to Singapore Botanic Garden. Here there were many kinds of plants. My favourite flower was the national flower of Singapore – the orchid flower. It was pretty and had a strong life-force. Then, we went to The National Museum of Singapore. There have been a lot of important historical events in Singapore, such as Japan invading Singapore and being an independent nation. It made me know more about Singapore. Finally, we went to the Discovery Centre. There were many new technologies there. I like studying technology, therefore I was excited.

On the last day, we were sad because we were going to leave Singapore. First, we went to the New Water Factory. The guide taught us how to change dirty water into new clean water. Then, we went to the Singapore City Gallery. We learnt how the Singapore government made Singapore become a "Green City". Next, we went to China town. I bought two packets of handmade pork jerky in the old shop, Wu Chin Leong. The pork jerky was very delicious! After that, we went to Singapore dam. It was large and majestic. Finally, we went to Changi Airport.

I have learnt many new things on this trip. I believe Singapore is doing very well in promoting citizens' eco-awareness. I want the Hong Kong government to learn from Singapore and be a "Green City" too.
