Sports Day is an important event in my school. I was so excited about the day. I was to participate in high jump and long jump, as well as the class relay. The weather that day was so hot that I had to go to the food kiosk often to buy ice-cream. In the spectator stand, there was a large, cheering crowd and they were shouting very loudly.

I was too excited to have a good sleep the night before Sports Day. The next day, when I got to the sportsground, my teammates were punctual and they were all very well-dressed in their sports wear. When the record keeper called me, I got to the sports ground.

Before Sports Day, my teammates and I practiced running everyday so that we could put up a good performance in the relay. I won the long jump event which I enjoy because it is a challenging activity. I felt so tired after the competition. When Sports Day was over, I went back home happily.
