My Journal—Easter Holidays

5th September

Today was Easter Holiday. Since my best friend, Fiona, notified me that she will come to visit me from Japan tomorrow. Therefore, I was very cheerful and surprised. As she wants to know the scenic spots in Hong Kong, she will stay here for two days. And I volunteered to be her tour guide.

In the early morning, I went to the Hong Kong International Airport and waited for Fiona. A few minutes later, we went to the roadhouse and put down all the baggage. Next, we went to Ocean Park as swiftly as leopards.

When we reached here, we bought two tickets from the booking office. The tickets were quite costly. Then, we started our travel in Ocean Park. We went to the HKJC Giant Panda Habitat and saw the pandas. Fiona thought that they were so likable and lovely. After that, we watched the dolphin show at Ocean Theatre. We are very excited because the dolphins did a lot of funny actions.

After watching the show, we took a ride on the cable car. It was too interesting and amusing. Also, we went to Merry-go-round and wanted to ride on the cute horses. Fiona thought the horses were true to life. Seeing we did not have so much time, we could not ride on the horses. We felt so disappointed and frustrated. At last, we ate some food and left the Ocean Park at five o' clock in the afternoon. Today was so memorable.

Today was the final day of Fiona’s visit. Fiona and I agreed to meet at Tsim Sha Tsui Station. I arrived there at nine o’clock in the morning. However, Fiona was tardy and she came slowly. It was because she did not know the route.

A few minutes later, Fiona came and we went to the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. We went to the grand theatre and watched a drama. I thought it was very wonderful. Then, we watched an exhibition and saw many interesting things. Next, we bought two souvenirs. They are beautiful and exquisite.

At last, we went to the airport. Suddenly, we felt very hungry and tired. While we were going to the airport, we bought some sweet chocolate to eat. Fiona said that it was the time to leave, and she gave me a present abruptly. I said goodbye to her and she promised that she will come again later.
