The Adventure of a monkey

A monkey and a crocodile were friends. They always played with each other. One day, the monkey was eating fruit on a tree.

The fruit was tasty so the monkey ate a lot. After the meal, the monkey wanted to go home. He walked to the side of the river. His friend, a crocodile, took him to the other side of the river. At the middle of the river, the crocodile opened his big and red mouth and said, ‘I want to eat you. I know you can’t swim! Ha ha!’ The monkey was scared but he was clever. He said to the crocodile, ‘If you eat me, you won’t have tasty fruit anymore. But if you take me to the forest, you can eat both the fruit and me.‘ The crocodile believed in him and he took the monkey to the forest. When the monkey safely reached the land, he laughed and shouted at the crocodile, ‘You will never catch me! Ha! Ha!’ Then the monkey climbed up the tree and swung away. The crocodile was very angry.
